Background

, also more commonly known as Zero-Two, is the final boss and main antagonist of Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards, serving as the true final fight unlocked by getting the true ending of the game by getting all Crystal Shards. Being the leader of the Dark Matter clan who invaded Ripple Star and attempts to conquer other planets nearby as well.

0² is named after and is very similar in appeareance to the previous leader of the Dark Matter clan, Zero. however, it seems likely that both Zero and 0² are not the same character, though they have similar battle strategies such as launching attacks from their eyes and that both also have a specific weaknesses (Zero is weak to the Love-Love Stick, 0² is weak to the Crystals).

Powers and Abilities: Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Flight (Can naturally fly), Self-Sustenance (Types 1 and 2: Can breath in the middle of Outer Space), Weapon Mastery (Can masterfully wield a sword in combat), Homing Attack (Can create attacks which will follow their target), Acrobatics (Shown to be able of performing some acrobatic moves), Body Control and Telekinesis (Can throw up and control parts of it's body to attack Kirby), Darkness Manipulation (Can create giant clouds of darkness to cover up entire planets), Danmaku (Can create multiple energy attacks at all once), Inorganic Physiology (Type 1: Stated multiple times that they are made of a cloud-like object), Electricity Manipulation (Can shoot out electric blasts at Kirby), Energy Manipulation and Projection (Can create and attack enemies with energy attacks), Afterimage Creation (Often leaves afterimages when attacking), Immersion (Entered and exited through Adeleine's painting), Duplication (Can duplicate itself and create smaller Dark Matter with parts of it's body), Life Manipulation and Creation (Are capable of creating random enemies such as N-Zs), Small Size (Type 1: Shown to be slightly bigger than Kirby, who is canonically 8 inches {20 cm} tall), Weapon Creation, Immortality (Types 1, 2, 3 and 6), Longevity, Elasticity, Intangibility (Can phase through solid material, with also considering the fact that they are made of a cloud-like material), Non-Physical Interaction (Scaling to Gooey), Natural Weaponry (Can use it's petals as attacks), Transmutation (Scaling to Gooey, who can absorb foes and throw them off as small stars), Power Mimicry and Absorption (Scaling to Gooey), Biological Manipulation (When possessing others, Dark Matter are capable of biologically altering them, such as making a Waddle Dee turn into a Waddle Doo), Shapeshifting (Scaling to Miracle Matter, another Dark Matter, who is capable of shifting it's body into various different elements), Fire Manipulation (Can turn into the Fire Element, and thus be capable of creating made out of fire), Ice Manipulation (Can turn into the Ice Element, and thus use attacks which are capable of freezing over Kirby), Water Manipulation (Can turn into the Water Element and thus be capable of creating attacks made out of bubbles), Earth Manipulation (Can turn into the Stone Element, and thus be capable of transforming it's own body into stone and creating several attacks made out of stone), Possession (Dark Matter are capable of possessing others, usually when encountering them, as seen multiple times), Regeneration (Mid-High: Regenerated it's whole body from a small piece, which is also a cloud-like object), Madness Manipulation (Type 2), Corruption (Type 2) and Mind Manipulation (Dark Matter's main gimick is their ability to create the Dark Clouds, which are giants clouds of darkness which can cover up entire planets, which when used, it lures all inhabitants close to them, manipulating them and turning them into the evil side, thus allowing Dark Matter to be capable of controling them, with the range of this shown to be capabale of interacting with far off planets as well, which can as well possibly affects robots, such as HR-H), Resistance to Extreme Cold and Cosmic Radiations (Unnafected by space), Corruption, Mind Manipulation and Madness Manipulation (Unnafected by their own Dark Clouds), Transmutation (Scaling to Gooey, who is unnafected by Kirby's swallowing)

Attack Potency: Multi-Solar System level, likely Galaxy level (Capable of evenly fighting off with Post-DL3 Kirby who can defeat Dark Nebula whose awakening likely created hundreds of stars and a galaxy and defeat Drawcia who transformed the whole world into a painting and then destroy over multiple stars with her attacks)

Speed: Massively FTL+ (Can keep up with Kirby and Ribbon, the first which who can move in and react to the Warp Star and keep up with enemies comparable in speed to it, with the Warp Star having feats of flying past over to galaxies in seconds. Superior to the Three Dark Matter who were capable of flying over galaxies at these speeds)

Notable Attacks/Techniques:

  • Corruption: One of Dark Matter most used, if not the most used, is it's corruption, which allows Dark Matter and it's leaders to conquer many different planets to their will such as Popstar and Ripple Star. With this, they managed to lure the inhabitants of said planets into evil, while seemingly controlling them as well.
  • Possession: Another commonly used technique by the Dark Matter is their possession, which has been done a handful of times, but mostly seen during the events of Kirby 64, while they also possessed King Dedede off screen during Dreamland 2, with their leaders also being capable of possessing others.
