The boundary between the real and the imaginary is as thin as page, and just as easily torn… come with me, my dear, let us venture into the story. I'll be waiting on the other side.

Now, we get to the most harrowing parts of your little article: "The Storyteller is crafty and cunning, and his methods are deceptive and sly. Psychological manipulation is its forte, alongside a host of supernatural abilities: illusion, shapeshifting, telepathy, telekinesis and teleportation are all common reports." Ack! How my heart utterly breaks in twain! Where exactly are you getting this information from, dear M.E.G? What psychological manipulation have I exacted? What is so malicious about these abilities that you list, that they serve as evidence for a characterisation of me as some kind of monster? Please reconsider this cruel representation of my character. I'm not omniscient, by the way.

Background

Blanche is the keeper of the infinite library that is Level 906, the Cygnus Archive, spending most of her time sorting books, cleaning, writing and waiting for new visitors. She appears as a pale woman with long blond hair and blue eyes, and possesses anomalous abilities that are confined to Level 906. Despite her powers, Blanche is kind and peaceful, and has earned a reputation for being friendly and helpful. She is considered one of the M.E.G's most trusted and reliable sources of information, and is known to have ties to other groups as well. It is later revealed that Blanche is an avatar of Azel'Kyra, the Pillar of curiosity.

The StoryTeller is a mysterious entity who is the sole curator and librarian of his realm, Level 906, the Infinite Library. The Storyteller's management of the library involves constant, erratic layout shifts, and his craftiness extends to psychological manipulation and a range of supernatural abilities, earning him a reputation as one of the Backrooms' most powerful entities. Believed unable to physically leave the library, The Storyteller projects himself spectrally and utilizes the Mail Carrier as a messenger. In the library, where photography is impossible, visitors create diverse illustrations based on personal encounters, each unique due to The Storyteller's constant shapeshifting. The Storyteller also maintains neutral connections with other powerful entities of the Backrooms and holds a position within the Court.

Blanche & The StoryTeller are avatars of Azel'Kyra, the Pillar of Curiosity, an eldritch being that exists beyond the Backrooms and what lies above.

Her powers over the Cygnus Archive are said to be as close to omnipotence as it gets[1])
