Her beautiful face melts off like candle wax in a furnace. My Darla! Hair and scalp drop to the floor like a cheap wig. The screaming stopped and Darla walked over to Deacon. Her body changed in unspeakable ways and yellow lobster skin covered her like a sack. She clawed at her face and eyes, apparently unable to see or breathe. Deacon gave her the same "smile face" by carving it with his toothed arm. You could hear her breathe through the slits. They left without a word. If I survive, I will hunt Deacon down and (indecipherable) that monster. I picked up the finger with the wedding ring and kissed it and passed out…

I am a scientist. If I give you my learned explanation for the mechanism that transforms people into Partygoers, you will scoff. Folklore is full of mythological creatures that turn people into monsters with a bite. Vampires, werewolves, and zombies come to mind. According to centuries-old legends, these undead also feed on humans. In the Backrooms, we hide what we do not understand under a blanket term. We call it "anomalous." It sounds very scientific. I have examined the corpses of interrupted transformations. The curse is not caused by infection, venom, or disease. This is supernatural. One might even mistakenly label it as demonic. There is irony in a "demon" that burns easily. Irony aside, I suggest we classify Entity 67 as Undead.

~ Dr. John Rhinehart, PhD

When was the last time that you drooled over a juicy burger or stuffed your face with cake and sweet icing? You probably answered, "Not since I arrived here." Food is a precious commodity in the Backrooms. These were my thoughts exactly as I was chosen to create and head Team "Party Over" for the Major Explorer Group a few years ago. With my background in law enforcement, I saw the Partygoer situation as an open-and-shut case. Ordinary people were eating ordinary people. This was a cult of cannibals. Nothing more. Nothing less. Clear and convincing evidence pointed to human perpetrators. Drawing posters and decorating for parties, altering official websites, and creating traps were human behaviors. The Partygoers wore costumes to hide their identities and strike fear into victims. Witnesses reported seeing human eyes and lips behind these masks. Those snake-like arms were probably protective sleeves hiding handheld cutting tools. Hypnosis and hallucinogens could explain any reported paranormal aspects of encounters. All we needed to do was apprehend and interrogate one of these cultists. Game over. Even when Daniel Kebab came forward with his woebegone tale of Partygoer Zero, his testimony was not credible to me. Outlandish with no proof, I discounted it out of hand. Recent events showed me the error of my ways. Seeing my deceased friends in various degrees of transformation and the Partygoer corpses were undeniable horrors. My steadfast narrow-mindedness gave this enemy time that we could not afford. May this letter serve as my resignation from the M.E.G. and Team "Party Over."

Background

Entity 67, otherwise known as The Partygoers, are tall, bipedal creatures with smooth & leathery skin. They typically appear as yellow, but notable sightings include red, blue, green, and white variants. They consider themselves the apex predators of the Backrooms, hunting humans for sustenance, sport & to increase their numbers. They are said to be surprisingly intelligent, capable of operating complex machinery and possess in-depth knowledge of computer programming. They lurk everywhere in the Backrooms, but have a sanctuary known as Level Fun =)

All instances of Entity 67 originate from a singular being known as Partygoer Zero, who was the tragic result of Deacon Duncan no-clipping into a Phobic Centipede.

Powers and Stats

Tier: At least 9-C

Kardashev Level: Type V

Dimensionality: 3-D

Powers and Abilities: Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Natural Weaponry (Possesses razor-sharp claws & sucker mouths full of hooked teeth), Acausality (Type 1), Immortality (Type 7) (Partygoers are undead), Perception Manipulation (Myra reported that a partygoer's head took the form and voice of her deceased aunt prior to being killed), Curse Manipulation, Durability Negation, Transmutation & Corruption (Type 1) (By latching onto someone with one of their lamprey eel arms, partygoers corrupt the victim; turning into one of them. This "infection" is more so likened to a curse, rather than an infection, venom or a disease), Spatial Manipulation, Teleportation & Dimensional Travel (Through no-clipping and the SS Fun =)), Technology Manipulation & Hacking (They operate complex machinery & mess with the database), Telepathy (Partygoers are capable of short-range telepathy, with mental transmissions being based on eyesight), Resistance to Fire Manipulation, Electricity Manipulation, Radiation Manipulation (The hide of a Partygoer is fireproof & acts as a shield to electromagnetic radiation, letting them work in high-voltage power situations)

Attack Potency: At least Street level (Partygoers consider themselves to be the apex predators of the Backrooms, casually hunting humans for food & sport. Are equipped with razor-sharp claws & sucker mouths full of hooked teeth. Won against the Partypoopers in the events of the Fun War, bringing them to extinction)

Speed: Below Average Human level (Partygoers are quite slow), Superhuman attack speed in berserker mode (The razor-sharp claws revealed once a Partygoer opens its chest carapace are said to move at incredible speed and accuracy)

Lifting Strength: Likely Superhuman

Durability: At least Street level (Partygoers are incredibly durable, despite their weak spots. The hide of a partygoer is superior to the woven Kevlar material found in the Frontrooms)

Stamina: Unknown

Range: Standard Melee range, Extended Melee Range in berserker mode, up to Interdimensional through no-clipping and the SS FUN =)

Standard Equipment: Red Balloons

Intelligence: Gifted (Partygoers are said to have enhanced intelligence. They are capable of manipulating humans, operating complex machinery and hacking the database, possessing in-depth knowledge on computer programming & coding, setting them apart from other entities of the Backrooms. They work in teams & are their own organized society)

Weaknesses: Partygoers are nearsighted and slow. Their arms have very thin flesh and are the most vulnerable target, so cutting them off is essential, as it will also negate their transformation ability. In their berserker mode, their open carapace's weak spots include the face & head area. Attacking those will neutralize the human component of the chimera and make them fall dormant and exposed. The Phobic Centipede aspect of a Partygoer can be incinerated using flares, black powder, firesalt, and pyroil, which leads to the chimera being incinerated to ashes in its entirety, burning even in a vacuum or underwater.

Note: Partygoers always hunt in packs. You can never catch a Partygoer alone.

Notable Attacks/Techniques:

  • Transformation: Partygoers, by latching one of their arms onto their victim, transform them into an instance of Entity 67.
  • Berserker mode: A Partygoer's berserker mode is activated once it opens its chest carapace, which reveals razor-sharp claws that move with incredible speed and accuracy
