“ The Rai were conceived as a way to make tangible my influence. I created them to become a protector and a symbol. But this experiment was not without risk. Each iteration of the Rai exposed myself and my failings as much as it revealed greater insight into humanity and their needs. Am I an artist? Who is to say? Art is both creation and destruction. I am capable of both. But I can't help but feel there is an illusive spark I am still searching for. Perhaps not an artist. But rather... an author. Constantly writing and rewriting. Each era. Every one hundred years is a simply a draft. Writing and rewriting humanity's future... Every year... every Rai... one step closer to my fate... I will either be the author of humanity's perfection... Or the author of my own destruction. „


Background

Amanda McKee, one of the great and powerful psiots - a technopath - died, however, a psychic puppet of hers, which was created by Harada, became an entity of her own. She used original Amanda's DNA to create a new and sentient form of energy and AI called Livewire - which will begin calling itself Father once it takes over New Japan completely.[1] Livewire, came As the former master of GIN-GR and one-time master of Shanhra, Amanda's clone created this AI to be far better than any other AI they had ever encountered. Livewire is so powerful, even a small drop of it can give androids human-like life. A live being using Livewire will enhance their consciousness' and expand their mind to unknown levels.[2]

Japan fell to the brink of its knees when the Fitz invasion began.[1] After it's fall, Amanda's clone created Father, who elevated Japan into space,[1] becoming a powerful sky-heaven - and the only country which survived the ongoing wars on Earth and New Japan's evils. In order to survive, New Japan's very existence causes the Earth to be ruined - as it needs to feed off it's energies.[1] And later on, it needs to release it back into Earth,[3] causing[4] mass destructions.[5]

When Japan first rose to the skies, the few people who lived here were not as obedient as they were now. They were against Father and his purpose to control all, however, that changed when Father created his first Rai - Rai I - a PR android, created for the sole purpose to unite the many sections of New Japan and initiated his plan to segregate the country into nearly 5,000 sectors.[6]

There are early 5,00 sectors on New Japan, each with it's unique design, style, environment, technology, and more. There[7] are[8] futuristics cities,[2] recreation of various Earth cities and towns from various eras, such as 21st New York, 19th Century industrial town, Cyberpunk Los Angeles,[7] old style Japanese towns,[3] a city with zeppelins,[9] old and ruined cities,[10] and many more.[11] In addition to, there are other[12] sectors which are beaches,[10] gardens,[13] mountains, deserts,[3] sea,[14] biological[9] farms,[2] birthing sector - where artificial and human lives are created/born,[4] hanger bays for spaceships,[15] high-security prisons.[15] There are[9] sectors which are full of mountains.[3] There are also some sectors which Father has give it's control to Silk and some others which he did not extend his Network too. Father is New Japan, and vice versa, and as such, this all exists within his body as tiny organism that makes up a large body.

New Japan is a magnificent technological megastructure, and as such, has technology and military might to prove it's superiority over Earthly nations. The entire megastructure is kept safe by drones which scans and attacks anyone who approaches the country.[4] And has an auto-defence system to protect it's inside from invaders.[15]

To keep it's 500 million population in check,[9] Father created the Positrons - also known as Raddies - and Rai. Raddies are created for the sole purpose to become[7] the ultimate companions and friends of New Japan's humans.[6] In addition to Raddies, Father also created Rai. Each generation gets a new Rai, and each Rai has a different purpose to fulfil; one is to become a hero, another a warrior, another a politician, and so on.[16]

Thanks to the aforementioned entities, Father has become the ultimate authority on New Japan - a God. However, not everything is as he had imagined. The Raddies have become a racially segregated group of individuals who are nothing but slaves for humans to use the way they see fit, and then throw away as they like. 20 years before 4001 A.D., there were large number of private clubs that would put Raddies in one place, who will be then used as target practice for humans to relieve stress.[2] Raddies, at their homes, have also been assaulted by their partners whenever they see fit. As it is an enclosed nation, away from other countries, entertainment has become quite boring to them, so they indulge in killing Raddies, assaulting them, or watching them kill one another in live games.[5]

In case something goes bad, he has created Rehab Cubes, where criminals are sent and transformed to become obedient citizens.[17] At one point, he found extra-terrestrial warriors, whom he began to deploy as part of his army to keep his people in check, however, they turned evil, so he ejected them to Earth - as an experimentation. On Earth, he would watch them mutate and bring horrors to mankind.[2] Father also made a deal with Silk, where he is given a place of his own, outside the view of Father, to do whatever he desires, however, Silk will need to do certain things for Father when he needs it.[18]

Since Father is everything, he controls people via the Fish-Eyes, his eyes on the ground and his police force, and also the media. He uses the media to freely pass on his message and also control the masses.[13]

Father always predicted that New Japan would fall one day, and to make sure he survives, he created backups of himself called the Offsprings. The Offsprings are small portions of himself which he left in various locations so he will find it when the time comes. After New Japan fell by the hands of Rai, Psyloke and Lula, Father began looking for his Offsprings to return and take control of his property once more. In his path, however, is standing none other than his own child, his own creation - Rai.

Father's goal is global domination and to become a God for humanity.[19] He is an enhanced being, existing above humans already, so he wants to take it a step further and make everyone and everything his minions.

Intelligence: Father is a self-replicating and constantly evolving AI. He, using Amanda's blueprints, turned Japan into a floating megastructure. He made Japan fly into space and created a new era for the Japanese people.[3] Created all of New Japan and its technologies[10] and weapons, some of which are capable of creating almost[2] human-like beings (the Raddies, Fish-Eyes,[10], Positrons,[2] and more[14]), as well as weapons of mass destruction. Sees and know everything, as long as there is Livewire. Predicted every move of Dr Silk in advance, who is one of the smartest people in the verse, and built countermeasures against their plans.[9] Dr Silk, who thought he was playing Father, couldn't have been more wrong. He was always dancing on the palm of Father.[10] Created the Fishing Net technology, which he used to launch to space to find Flotsam and Jetsam of the solar system.[2] In one of the sectors, he recreated the dinosaurs from DNA strands. Created a biome which grows fungi, which he then employs for various things, such as medicines.[4] Is the most advanced[37] AI created by Amanda McKee, which means, it is superior to both GIN-GR and Shanhra. On Earth, after his fall, he created a new army of human and AI. The tech of his new army is capable of interacting and damaging other technological beings/AIs with a touch.[47] Created Data Gaki to gather information through the Neurosphere.[25] Created Neurosphere, a stream of data only accessible to the citizens of New Japan and users of Livewire. If someone were to enter the Neurosphere, they would become data itself. Any damage to them done in Neurosphere, can heavily affect their physical form.[27] He planned for the downfall of his New Japan form, and as such, created Offspring to help him[33] recover his lost strength over time.[20]

Weaknesses: It lacks a physical being, and as such, incapable of fighting physically. Lacks human-like thinking skills and knowledge, which can sometimes leads to his downfall. | Some of the sectors are not within his control - he chose not to extend his Network to those sectors for various reasons, such as, making a deal with Dr Silk. And as such,[9] he cannot peer into those sectors outside of the Network. Attacking certain parts of New Japan will damage the Network, which will weaken Father's control over it.[10] There is a virus that can damage the Network and Father. However, any damage to Father, means damage to New Japan[12] itself.[17] The virus needs to be inserted into his source pool to work. And his source pool is the most vulnerable part of New Japan[17] | Bloodshot needs to consume[48] amino acids and proteins in order to sustain the nanites.[40]

Standard Tactics:

  • Komodo Protocol: When initiated, the Komodo Protocol turns New Japan, a nation floating in space, into a giant dragon.
  • Avatar Creation: As it lacks a physical form, it creates avatars or physical bodies when needed, to fight for him. He can create avatars as long as nanites are present.
  • Possession: Can possess nanites, nanite-based beings, and Livewire users.

Notes:

  • Father is everything in New Japan and the Network, and as such, he should be able to replicate everything he can do on New Japan anywhere where there is enough Livewire for him to use.
  • Regarding his Dragon form; he can turn normal New Japan into a Dragon too. It's just during this arc, he wanted to remove certain sectors in order to minimise the effects of the virus.
