Background
Hiroshi Shiba is the main character of Koutetsu Jeeg and a side character of Koutetsushin Jeeg. He's a car driver who got turned into a cyborg after being mortally wounded by the forces of the Jamatai Kingdom led by Queen Himika, who intends on conquering Japan with her Haniwa Phantoms, so he fights against them by turning into the magnetic robot Steel Jeeg.
