~ Mr. Armstrong to himself about Yusei Fudo |
Background[]
Mr. Armstrong, also referred to as Chief Armstrong, the Chief or Takasu in the Japanese version, is a minor antagonist within Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's. He is a corrupt warden who berates prisoners, finding enjoyment in making them pay for things they didn't do, or otherwise torturing them for fun. Against his fight with Yusei, he rigs the competition in his regard by setting up a false trap that only works for Yusei, electrifying him, as well as being fed information from other officers reading the cameras and Yusei's cards. However, after Alex sabotages the machine while the lights are shut down, it forces him to have his Duel Disk rigged to the machine, electrifying him as he loses lifepoints, and allows Yusei to pull out a card he concealed from view which shuts down Armstrong's opportunity to win the duel. After the duel, he refuses to extend his deal with Yusei, however he is stopped by Rex who forces him to leave the Facility for good.
