“ | I maintain nonetheless that yin-yang dualism can be overcome. With sufficient enlightenment we can give substance to any distinction: mind without body, north without south, pleasure without pain. Remember, enlightenment is a function of willpower, not of physical strength. | „ |

Summary
Nonduality is defined as a state in which one is unbound or transcendent over dualities/dichotomies. If we consider reality as a binary code, where the state of being is 1, and the state of non-being is 0, then a transdual being does not fit into the code itself (it can be either a code that is different from 1 and 0, or simply the lack of 1 and 0), remaining outside the realm of duality.
Types
Type 1 (Specific): Characters who are nondual only in relation to specific dualities, as opposed to all of them. For example, the character might be unbound by the duality of existence-nonexistence but still be bound by every other dual system.
- Examples: First Flame (Dark Souls), Alucard (Hellsing), Gabramelek (Soul Carter)
Type 2 (General): Characters who are nondual in relation to all dualities of a given setting. Such characters typically abide to dialetheic systems of logic, or are portrayed as existing within a state of single, indivisible wholeness bereft of any separation. In terms of binary, a character of this nature would possess a third attribute which is outside the dual system. In regard to 0 and 1, they would be 2 or equivalents.
- Examples: God (Seekers Into The Mystery), The Brothers Death (SCP Foundation), The Living Tribunal (Marvel Comics)
Type 3 (Plurality): Characters who are nondual to the nature of even the distinction between duality and nonduality. Such characters are represented by different systems of logic altogether, such as many-valued logic, and potentially up to infinite-valued ones, as they operate under a framework that is nondual even in comparison to the nondual. In terms of binary and in regards to 0, 1, and 2, they would be 3, up to Infinite.
- Examples: Oblivion (Marvel Comics), Venus Hekatonreis Vanaheimr (Shaped Truth)
Notes
- It should be noted that a nondual character is not inherently transdual. That is, they are unbound from a certain duality but do not hold transcendence over them, being just outside or lacking the framework of said dual system.
- Space and Time are not inherently a duality. For that to be the case, the verse needs to specify that they are one.
- The only way to combat such an entity (Type 2 and above), is to also be outside of the "binary code" or duality, or have the capability to affect the code of the nondual being (for example, if being and non-being are 1 and 0 respectively and the nondual being is "2", and if the being that is "1" or "0" has the ability to affect the "2", normally via hax, then they can affect the nondual/transdual entity).
