Background

The Subjects, also known as the Test Subjects, are the main antagonists of the well-known internet Creepypasta "The Russian Sleep Experiment". They are a group of Russian political prisoners who got exposed to a experimental gas that prevents them from going to sleep.

After nine days, they become insane and begin self-harming themselves to stay awake, and become violent when the gas is turned off. At the end of the story, it is heavily implied that this is caused by a mysterious force inside all humans that is the reason humans need to sleep, lest they become like the test subjects in the story.

Powers and Abilities: Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Resistance to Sedatives, Chemicals, Pain, Becoming Malnourished, even becoming Brain Dead will be reversed immediately if kept awake, Basic CQC Training, Basic Firearm Training

Attack Potency: At least Street level (Easily overpowered KGB agents with a single hand in a weakened state, they can tear skin and flesh off themselves and others with their hands. One of them killed a Russian soldier by biting him in the neck, they can break arms and ribs of others)

Speed: Peak Human (Can rush at trained Russian soldiers)

Lifting Strength: At least Superhuman, possibly Class 1 (Lifted 200 lbs with a single hand while sedated and in a weakened state)

Durability: Street level (Can bear to break their vocal chords, tear out their own flesh and survive even with their internal organs and bones exposed, they can even survive without some of their organs, can bear to break their own bones without feeling any discomfort)

Stamina: Superhuman (Stayed awake for weeks)

Range: Standard melee range

Intelligence: Average

Weaknesses: Extremely insane, addicted to the Gas, immediately dies upon falling asleep (although, they cannot die otherwise).
