Background
Sayumi Takanashi is one of the main characters of Inō Battle wa Nichijō-kei no Naka de. She is the president of the Literature Club who has the ability called "Root of Origin" that allows her to restore any object to their original state just by touching them. She later gains an evolved version of her ability called "Ouroboros Circle", which allows her to restore whole areas, instead of just singular objects, back to their natural state.

Like her clubmates, Sayumi acquired a supernatural power, being named "Root of Origin" by Andou. This ability allows Sayumi to return anything to its original state, including people or objects,[2] so it can regenerate wounds, damaged objects, etc. Root of Origin is declared as an extremely powerful power since the way in which things return to their original state depends on Sayumi's subjective thought, and according not only to Jurai, but also to Sagami, it is a cheat and dangerous power. When Sayumi tried to return her feelings for Jurai to their ideal form, by not understanding what "love" is, she mistakenly altered the entire reality of the world.
Root of Origin: Ouroboros Circle
The evolved form of Root of Origin. This can return entire areas to their original state, so can teleport people to their original position. According to Sayumi, using Ouroboros Circle could even return the concepts to their ideal form.[5]
