Introduction[]
This blog we will be finding where the speed of characters from a popular web novel by Guilthythree named Shadow Slave. We will mainly be doing this based on a feat from base awakened Sunny and adding multipliers on top of that, there's also consistency for some of the results we get below.
Base Awakened Sunny's Speed Calculation[]
In chapter 671, Sunny could perform several movements while a bolt of lightning was moving through the air. This happened in his 2nd nightmare.
We will be calculating this by finding the the timeframe (via the bolt of lightning) and the distance that Sunny moved and then applying the speed formula.
For the former, Sunny performed several actions while the bolt was streaking through the air, so we will be finding how much movement each action would require. And for the ladder we will just find the speed of the lightning as well as the distance it travelled, then plug that into the time formula.
Since Sunny is at least 2 meters tall, his forearm would be 0.5 m
He must have moved his forearm at a 90-degree angle to do that
Distance = ( Angle / 360 ) * 2 * π * Radius
( 90 / 360 ) * 2 * π * 0.5 = 0.78 mAfter he grabbed Effie, he went behind a pillar, and the the action was described as him "dashing", which should imply he took at least 2 steps to get there as the word usually refers to short, quick, runs in such contexts, and considering there's nothing suggesting the pillar was literally right next to him (1 step away).
The formula for how far steps take you is 0.415 x Height
0.415 x 2 x 2 = 1.66 mFinally he knelt, meaning his leg must have moved 90 degrees, which should be of similar length to his forearm. This means its movement would also be the same as what we calculated up above for when he grabbed Effie.
For this we will just add all the previous together 0.78 x 2 + 1.66 = 3.22 m
Firstly, for the speed of the lightning, we can use 440000 m/s as this Arrow was stated in its enhancement description to move as fast as a bolt of lightning. However, we know that Sunny's shadows can also buff the enhancements of memories, as they could buff the [Undying Chain], making it give Sunny a higher amount of resistance against mind attacks, that resistance coming from the [Chains of Longing] enhancement. Therefore, due to having 3 shadows wrapped around it, the [Strike of Thunder] would have been 4 times as fast as a regular lightning bolt in that moment.
Actual speed:
440000 x 4 = 1760000 m/sWe can also assume that the bolt moved as far as the column is tall, which is 2.44–6.71 m
Average = ( a + b ) / 2
( 2.44 + 6.71 ) / 2 = 4.575 mThe formula for time is:

For this part we will be finding the speed values of the characters in the novel by adding these multipliers on top of the calc.
We know that masters scale to Awakened Demon Sunny with 2 shadows, as he said he was around Ascended level.
This means that they would upscale 3 times from the speed value the calc gets as it was base Awakened Demon Sunny performing the feat.

That would mean saints upscale 330 times from the previous rank.
3716196.6 x 330 = 1226344878 m/s or 4.09 c (FTL)The Crown of Dawn grants a boost to all memories around it. That boost made a peak awakened memory jump 2 ranks and at the same time a transcendent memory could only become supreme.
This means the difference between a supreme and a transcendent memories (and by extension actual people of the rank) is the same as the difference between peak awakened and transcendent memories.

This means he had 4 shadows for him to buff himself with which would be a 5x amp.

This would be a 15x, 7x, and, 2x to stats, on top of the master baseline, respectively.

This means that he will up the saints baseline by 51744 times whithout shadow shell.

As a Master she was a fully saturated titan with an 8x buff from flames.
Again, a fully saturated titan core is a 28x boost.

Consistency For Stuff[]
Some stuff that will prove that the values this chainscale gets aren't completely unsupported by in-story narrative.
Saints baseline[]
Saints are shown to be/implied to be at least lightspeed, as several of their transformations are light-based. I will give the known examples here.
- It's directly stated to turn him into Sunlight which is by default assumed to move bear minimum the speed of light.
- It also makes him ethereal, meaning that attacks pass through him instead of damaging him, just like how real light should be.
- It's stated to make him ethereal
- is stated to be light/pure light many times
- His transformation is stated to be capable of shifting between both tangible and intangible states; this is not due to some quality inherent only to it specifically, but because of light's own attribute of wave-particle duality. With this context, we may be able to guess Noctis's case above is also similar.
- His transformation is stated to be made out of Starlight, this is very likely to not be a simple comparison (the text doesn't even imply it is, but whatever) but instead an objective explanation when we consider that Nightwalker's goal with this statement is to explain his transformation accurately and that he has the lineage of storm god, which requires you to have a great affinity with the aspects of the god, who is the goddess of stars, whose true domain is outer space. Starlight is by default assumed to be lightspeed too.
- He theorizes that if there were creatures who "travelled from star to star" while grazing on gravity waves and cosmic radiation, they would look like this. This definitely implies great speeds, likely faster than sol, considering the speed needed to travel the distance between most stars in a timeframe that's in any way reasonable.
Awakened Sunny[]
There are several other lightning-based feats in the series, for example, Kai as sleeper (who would narratively scale far below awakened Sunny in the second nightmare), was stated to dodge lightning, not one, not two, but three whole times. Meaning in series this isn't too crazy.
We can also get characters of similar ranks to this level of speed, for example adding multipliers on Nephis's feat of blitzing him at the ashen burrow.
