Intro[]
A blog dedicated to the cosmology and terminology of Shinza Bansho. You can consider it as a remake of this blog, but differently from that blog, this one will be more objective and straight to the point and less extrapolated.
Cosmology[]
The Multiverse[]
- At first, everything consisted of just one singular universe. But when Mercurius took over the Throne, he expanded into infinite universes.
- This is further confirmed by WoG.
- In Paradise Lost, it is stated that the universe is consisted of 10 dimensions.
- There are infinite concepts that constitutes the universe/multiverse. This would include Methuselah and equivalents.
- No matter how simple or complex a concept is, they are governed by laws.
Singularity[]
- When two people who have reached the level of Atziluth (basically gods) clash with each other in an attempt to paint creation with their conflicting laws, they rip a hole in the canvas/picture that is all of creation. This hole is the Singularity.
- It is a perfect colorless, blank state.
- Due to being colorless, the Singularity's nature is primarily that of no laws whatsoever.
- Only those who have achieved Emanation could enter and color this place in their hue.
- The depth of the Singularity (when governed by a Throne God) will depend on said god's power.
- The Singularity is a realm reserved for the gods, and it is in here where they operate, painting the world anew and creating new concepts to form the multiverse.
- To pass the Singularity, you have to deepen your own existence.
- To pass through the Singularity of a stronger god, you will just keep falling into new layers of the singularity the deeper you go.
Throne/Gods[]
- At the deepest point of the Singularity, there is the Throne.
- It is the center from where all phenomena emanates from the existing law.
- For a Throne God, all of creation are within their domain.
- The Throne transcends all and everything.
- The Throne was once stated to be a hyperdimension, an extreme point that cannot be described by any language.
- The Throne is the highest form of existence.
- Even when Reinhard had yet to be a god, his Gladsheimr was beyond the concept of dimensions, further cementing the status of the gods as beyond such concepts.
- Gods also are stated to exist outside the multiverse's concepts.
- Gods see all of creation as a mandala and a picture.
- Said mandala contains all concepts and dualities.
- No matter how simple or complex a concept is, it would be governed by a god's laws.
- To a Hadou God, the act of Emanating is the act of painting a picture. With the color of one's reason, one paints a desired drawing on a canvas.
- It was implied that Hajun transcends Yakou to the same degree the latter would transcend a non-god at that time (Ryuusui).
Terminology[]
Ahnenerbe[]
Assiah[]
The first degree of Ewigkeit, also known as the Activation (活動, lit. Katsudō) degree. It is the stage in which one can control their Ahnenerbe albeit while in a somewhat unstable state where they are at risk of losing control of it. By Just concentrating, the wielder is capable of summoning an aspect of their Ahnenerbe (ex. a slash from a blade, fire from a firearm, etc). At this rank, it is incorporeal while at the same time giving the user a strong desire to kill. It also grants a small set of abilities including having a more resilient body and the ability to heal non-fatal injuries. What a Holy Relic does varies from individual to individual.
Yetzirah[]
The second degree of Ewigkeit, also known as the Formation (形成, lit. Keisei) degree. Its when the Holy Relic gets a physical, stable form and the user is finally starting to show their particular traits. This not only boosts the Ahnenerbe’s power but also that of the wielder's five senses and spiritual senses beyond that of Assiah. In addition, Ewigkeit helps the users' body resist against aging, fatal wounds, illnesses, and poisons
Briah/Beriah[]
The third degree of Ewigkeit, also known as the Creation (創造, lit. Sōzō) degree. A Craving is a desire that is grown from oneself, not obtained. It is born from one's soul, a desire to have or be unbound by the laws of physics or common sense, which can momentarily overwrite those of the current World, that of the World of Foreknowledge, replacing it with their own. A source of power that exists throughout the Shinza Banshō series.
There are two types of cravings that can manifest in:
- Hegemony: A Craving that expands outwards, changing the World and affecting others around the user by creating a World that suits their desire.
- Transcendance: A Craving that expands inwards, changing only the user themselves and leaving everything else outside of them alone.
It is from these cravings that reached the Emanation degree, that create the two types of Gods: Gudōshin and Hadōshin (Gudō and Hadō Gods).
Atziluth[]
The final and ultimate level of the Die Ewigkeit formula, also known as the Emanation (流出, lit. Ryūshutsu) degree. Its when the user becomes a full-blown God and starts to paint over reality with their own Law, essentially making the universe/multiverse a canvas. Unlike with Briah, those who have reached Atziluth cannot turn it off, effectively becoming a literal god of the new world. Additionally, only another Atziluth god can defeat them, with the winner earning the right to decide the laws of the new world.
To put it simply it's when the users desire starts to emanate out to the rest of the World, extending to all of creation and painting it over with their reality, effectively becoming a literal god of the new world. This is limited to those of Hegemony (Hadou Gods), whose World and its Law affect others, since those of Transcendence (Gudou Gods) affect only themselves.
Transcendence Gods do not go into conflict with the existing world or other laws, even that of other Gods (Hegemony or Transcendence) due to existing on their own internally. If there are more than one Hegemony God, however, there will be a battle of contention between them as their Laws contradict one another, forcing them to fight until the victor paints over their reality and to that of all creation.
Taikyoku[]
Taikyoku/Taiji is the beginning of all things, the root, original/first beginning, or beginning of all beginnings. Taikyoku is even the source of yin and yang. Taikyoku is akin to a state of limitless potential, the oneness before duality, all who have reached Atziluth have taikyoku. Atziluth is the emanation of the spirit/soul (Atman), representing a cosmic law which repaints all of reality for themselves, in accordance with the desire of the god itself, bypassing any obstacles because taikyoku is primary in relation to any form of existence.
- Taikyoku is the root of all things
- Taikyoku is the root of all creation, the source of all events, and thus, if we tap into this root, we can draw power and grasp the knowledge of everything. To see all and do all.
- It is the foundation of Onmyoudou (Way of Ying and Yang)
- Yakou once went in-depth about Taikyoku and explained like this:
- In reality, cutlery carries a Law called "cutting", fire has a Law called "burning". In the case of the Law that exists while underwater, something like pulmonary respiration cannot happen. Such assorted Laws are mere physics. What's important is scale, density. The denomination of the form the Law takes is, by standard, "universe", therefore, getting to become an independent World is Taikyoku's definition.
- If the aforementioned Law that exists underwater were to change into Taikyoku, All of Creation's underwater areas would also be changed to comply. The law provided from Taikyoku allows the user to control all things and to be disconnected from all of creation.
- The law created by Taikyoku is referred to as a "Color", and its decision is a man's thought. What oneself longs for, what oneself would want to become. Such prayers and desires, called Cravings, become the driving force behind the genesis of Taikyoku.
