Background
Viral (ヴィラル, Viraru) is a shark-type Beastman with feline genetics, cloned by the Spiral King, Lordgenome. He was originally an elite soldier of the Spiral King's Beastman army, whose purpose was to eradicate all humans who ever surfaced the Earth. Post-Timeskip, after the defeat of Lordgenome, Viral roamed the Earth as a freedom fighting vigilante. Towards Part 4, he has found a place in Team Dai-Gurren, protecting Earth from Antispiral, and 20 years later, preventing Spiral Nemesis from occurring to protect the entire universe as Team Dai-Gurren's new leader.
